Join Us!

We are proud to say that we are growing and so is our list of clients. Therefore we will soon start to look for a senior key account manager preferably with experience from the automotive industry. This strategic key-role will be responsible for strengthening the ANS presence on the German market by developing existing client relationships. Are you the right candidate for this position, or do you know someone who is? Let us know.

ANS has recently employed a new development engineer, Emil Edin. Emil has a Masters degree in Engineering Physics oriented towards Materials Engineering from Uppsala University. Prior to his employment at ANS he wrote his Master thesis at ANS as part of an internal development project and was subsequently hired. Emil’s work at ANS currently involves client project development. A second development engineer recruitment will also be made during Q2.

A joint research project has started together with Gnutti Powertrain AB, Scania AB, Högskolan i Halmstad and ANS. The goal of the project is to reduce friction and wear in valve train components for heavy duty diesel engines and to study the implementation of ANS Triboconditioning® into full scale production. The project will be finished by the end of 2014.

A joint research project of ANS, Mahle and Nagel has been started in order to study the effect of ANS Triboconditioning® on the piston ring/cylinder liner tribology in heavy-duty diesel engines. This research proves that Triboconditioning® has potential for significantly reducing ring/liner friction and ring wear.

A technical account of research data accumulated within this project is to be presented at the 3rd International Tribology Symposium of IFToMM in Luleå, Sweden March 19-21, 2013. Read more about it here.

An ongoing collaboration between ANS, Ford and Thielenhaus Technologies evaluates performance of the ANS Triboconditioning® process for valve train components in a pilot production environment. Initial trials confirm that Triboconditioning® has potential for significant reduction of friction in the flat tappet and roller finger follower valve trains. A technical account of research data accumulated within this project is to be presented at VDI – Valve Train Conference in Wurzburg, Germany, November 27-28, 2012.
