ANS is nominated for the E-Prize 2009. The prize is created by E.ON and Veckans Affärer in order to promote innovative companies and technology that can reduce energy waste. The prize ceremony will take place at the Moderna Museet, June 2.

ANS was listed on the Nordic Cleantech 50 list as one of the Nordic region’s hottest cleantech companies. The publication, which is sponsored by leading Nordic VC firms: BankInvest, Energy Capital Management, Eqvitec Partners, Northzone Ventures, and Sustainable Technologies Fund, identifies the key representatives of Nordic excellence in Cleantech innovation.

ANS Won Another Prize

ANS won the prize as the most promising cleanTech company at the Investment Forum, a contest at The Swedish National Energy Convention 2009. The Prize was awarded by a high level investment jury consisting of Malin Nordgren (IKEA GreenTech AB), André Heintz (Sustainable Technologies Fund), Lars-Olof Bäckman (Spiltan), Tobias Elmquist (Volvo Technology Transfer) and Per Ericsson (ETF).

Sjätte AP-fonden invests in ANS. ANS has now secured funds for the next two years when verification projects will be done together with a number of potential customers, including Volvo Powertrain, Scania and Hägglunds Drives.

We Are Moving Offices

ANS moves to a new office in Uppsala. The new address is Dag Hammarskölds väg 26. The office is located in Uppsala Science Park, only 5 minutes walk from the Ångström Laboratory.

ANS is Recruiting

ANS is expanding its operations and hires 3 new development engineers. Per Wahlström (MSc in Materials Engineering), Mattias Granlund (MSc in Product Development) and Leif Kuzavas.

Mattias Karls is invited to make a presentation at a seminar called “Material, ytor och ytskikt 2009” in Stockholm, March 17. Come and listen if you want to know more about our technology.

ANS, Volvo Powertrain, Scania and Uppsala University launches joint project with 2.9 MSEK in funding from the Proenviro Program. The funding will be used to verify friction reduction in heavy duty diesel engines, and the target is to improve the fuel economy by 1.8%. The project brings together two of the world’s largest and best engine manufacturers, a leading University in Materials Science and ANS’ new and innovative coating technology.
ProEnviro was set up jointly by the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research, SSF, and the Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research, Mistra.
